Privacy Policy

Broodi is an incubation tracking app made by Grumpy Dog Software, a company based in Nova Scotia, Canada. This policy explains what happens to information when you use the app.

Information we collect

None.

Broodi does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address. We do not collect names, contact details, location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers. We do not use analytics or crash reporting tools, and we do not show advertising.

Information stored on your device

The information you enter into Broodi — your hatch plans, species selections, dates, and any notes — is stored locally on your device. It stays there. It is not uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Because this data lives only on your device:

• We cannot see it, access it, or recover it for you.
• Deleting the app removes it.
• It may be included in your own device backups, if you have those enabled through Google. Those backups are governed by Google's terms, not ours.

Purchases

Broodi offers optional paid features. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Grumpy Dog Software does not receive or store your payment details, and we do not operate a server that records what you have purchased.

When you buy something, Google processes that transaction under Google's Privacy Policy. We receive only aggregate sales reporting through the Google Play Console, which does not identify individual customers.

Notifications

Broodi can send reminders for candling dates, lockdown, and hatch day. These are scheduled locally on your device by the app itself. They are not push notifications sent from a server, and setting them does not transmit anything to us.

Children

Broodi is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Since the app collects no personal information at all, it collects none from children either.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as Canada's PIPEDA and the GDPR give you rights to access, correct, and delete personal information a company holds about you. We hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase. You are in full control of your data: it is on your device, and you can delete it at any time by removing the app.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Broodi handles information — for example, by adding accounts, cloud sync, or analytics in a future version — we will update this page and change the date above before that version is released.
